Instead of a typical blog post, I figured today we could do something a little different.
A few people have asked what my writing setup is like, so I thought I’d show you.
I apologize if the camera is a little shaky; I’m videoing with my GoPro HERO3 as I walk around the room.
My Exact Setup
Standing Desk (custom built by me)
- ASUS ROG G751 Laptop (ASUS is the only laptop I use; they are amazing)
- Noppoo Choc Mini keyboard (seriously the best keyboard you will ever own)
- Razer Mamba Mouse
- Razer Mouse Mat
- EPSON WorkForce 600
- 42″ LG TV (this is the newer model)
- Boss Mesh Drafting Stool (for when I get tired of standing)
Study Desk
- HP Pavilion g4 (this is my wife’s old laptop that I just use to read the news, etc.; don’t ever buy an HP!)
- Black folding chair
Miscellaneous
- RDX leather jump rope
- Foam roller
- Barbell and weights (these are actually my wife’s, from a workout video called Les Mills Pump, but I ended up using them)
- Palette shelf for all my cords/chargers/headphones/etc. (similar to this one here)
- Fellowes Mesh Hanging File Pockets

I really enjoyed watching all 4 videos! It was like spending time with you and getting to know you better! Your standing desk was really creative and innovative! I also loved seeing your travel videos! I hope that you continue to enjoy life and keep creating wonderful books for everyone to read! Your are the most OCD/ANAL person I have ever known–I do not agree with anything you so disarmingly list as your favourite things—However, you are a great writer–no one has ever caught me out like you. I believed in the dogs and your wonderful stories.
It might be a good idea to keep all that OCD/ ANAL stuff off your page. It all depends what turns your readers on and off–I am a live and let live person, but you have confused me. what is it really you are trying to control?
what modification can Mr Banks deal with?
Is he not the hero in his books?
I like this guy–I wanted to make him an FB (whatever) friend. Please tell the gentleman, I am done with all the confusions in FB.
