I am a huge fan of quotes.
It may sound funny, but my love for reading really started to take off in high school when I was writing essays for college and my parents gave me a book of quotes.

In my post about the books that have most impacted me, you may have noticed The Book of Positive Quotations. I can still remember pulling this out during class in high school, and just reading quotes while the teacher taught.
Since In Her Eyes just released, I thought it would be cool to take a look at a few of my favorite quotes from the book.
My favorite quotes from In Her Eyes
(Note: I’m not really providing any context about these quotes, so you can download the first chapter free here)
“The gun fired, and his body instinctively went into motion, but all he could think about was the two girls he loved more than anything. And the one promise he had to keep, if he didn’t die first.”

“It was…like that feeling you get when you’re cold, and then you step out into the sun and a tingling warmth spreads across your entire body.”
“She ran her fingers over the back of his hand, and traced softly up and down each of the metacarpal bones. It made her think of an anatomy mnemonic for the carpal bones that seemed to fit her and Ben’s story perfectly: She Looks Too Pretty, Try To Catch Her . Did he catch me?”

“She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, and for a moment all the world seemed to stop. He tried to pull his eyes away from her, but he couldn’t. His world began to slowly spin as the girl moved towards him. His heart started racing like he was rounding the final turn of the race. And yet this girl seemed to be perfectly calm.”
“…I loved her with all my heart, and yet that love was eclipsed by something as simple as her smile.”
